I have 2 of these moulds and I ADORE them! The quality is HIGH, while the cost is LOW and the possibilities are only limited to your imagination! I have the last one in the listing and the one that looks like lace and use them for frames and trim because the base of both have pearl like boarders which can be used as a strand or cut them apart and use each"pearl" individually! The crown from the last picture has the most beautiful baroque accent and is beautiful half filled, to look like it's something architectural/vintage being repurposed from the late 1800's! I use the Amazing quick casting resin and paper clay depending on where the piece will be and both work beautifully with or without a release agent but personally I prefer cornstarch because it doesn't interfere with adhesives, like oils can!
So for anyone who is on the fence about buying these moulds hop on over and BUY THEM! I promise you won't regret it and if you do a lot of casting, I recommend buying TWO so you can have backup just in case something CrAzY happens and you can mass cast without waiting for the medium to cure, this is especially helpful for larger projects and a quick tip for preventing the dreaded AIR BUBBLE gremlins is place the moulds in a warm oven, lowest setting and once it's heated pour your resin, making sure to pour from one point, if possible and because it's the cooling down point where the resin sets so with the warm moulds it allows the bubbles time to rise and you the time to evict, the ones who are determined to stay!
Sorry for the LOoOoOoOoOnG review but I can't help it, lol I LOoOoOoOoOvE these moulds and the company that makes them!
I have a few of FunShowCase's moulds and have never been disappointed with them and feel they're up there with Prima Marketing Re-design/IOD moulds!
